In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of hand-building with clay and explore the beautiful sgraffito technique: carving through a colored surface to reveal contrasting layers underneath. It’s a process that feels both meditative and expressive, where imperfections become part of the final story.
I’ll guide you through each step, from shaping your piece to adding surface decoration, while leaving space for your own intuition and creativity. No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
By the end of the session, you’ll have created a unique ceramic piece. I will glaze and fire it for you, and it will be ready for pickup at a later date.
